This story is incredibly written, exciting, just wow breathtaking! The adventure that Orion takes Amy on is insanely creative. I found myself constantly saying, “Oh My God”…”Seriously?” There is not one single dull moment in this book! I can only imagine what Beth's creative mind will have in store for us in the third installment.  It's a "frexing" awesome read that when you are finished, you will be craving for more!

Devotion is a white knuckled read that will keep you up all night because you WILL not be able to put it down. I have fallen head over heels for this series. The characters are strong, the writing breathtaking, I just can’t get enough!

Ryan Beckford from The Childe Character Review

Character Interview: Ryan Beckford

I would love to thank Ryan Beckford for giving me the opportunity to interview him for this AWESOME book Tour!! Thanks for the invite Michele.

It's nice to be able to pick your brain Ryan.  Here are some questions I have for you!

1.  Ryan, you seem like such a nice and caring guy. Why do you hang out with Isaac and his followers?  You just don't seem to "fit" with them.   

Our families have been friends way before we were born and we’ve always lived so close together, so I guess it was a given. Isaac isn’t always a jerk, okay maybe he is most of the time, but when we were young, he was decent. Amelia is so in love with herself that it’s easy to overlook her, and the Stone twins are Isaac wannabes. 

2.  How hard was it watching Cat from afar?

I just couldn’t figure her out. She’s so different from the other girls at school and I really wanted to get to know her. But I knew but it would only mean trouble for her because of my group. So I stayed away, until, of course, I had no choice when I was asked to tutor her. Inside I was grinning, but on the surface I was acting cool.

3.  How did Isaac's harassment towards Cat affect you?

I was so angry at him. I really wanted to punch him out. But before I could, Cat handled him without my help. Isaac hates to be challenged. It did him good to have someone come back at him. I so had to hold in that laugh though.

4.  How did you feel when you were told that you would be tutoring Cat in Math?

I know I said something earlier about grinning inside while trying to be cool, in fact, I was nervous. I didn’t think she liked me and I really wanted her to.

5. If The Childe was made into a movie Ryan, who would you want to play you?

A movie? Wow that would be so awesome, but I seriously have no idea who I’d pick. I’d probably just leave it up to film guys.

6.  So Ryan, you are one of the Star football players.  Do you have any rituals you do before a big game?

Thanks for the Star thing, but I’m just one of the guys on a team that when we work together we win. I know this might sound dumb, but before I go out on the field, I knock 7 times on my helmet. Yeah dumb huh, but 7 is my lucky number.

I thought it would be fun to do a "this or that ' to get to know you better too.

-Morning or Night?   

Night, especially when it’s a full moon and when I with a certain someone.

-Sweet or Salty? 

Hmmm that’s hard I guess I would say salty, love pretzels and chips, just don’t tell coach we are supposed to stay away from junk food.  But if Cat reads this, I would say sweet, and that’s all I’m saying.

-Rock or Country?   

Love my rock, but I also love to slow dance to some great country hits.

-Stay in or Go out?   

Stay in, unless it’s a full moon, or of course if I’m out with a certain someone

-Sports or Academics?  

Academics, shocked? Well I have to keep up my grades to play sports, right? Oh yeah and of course I wouldn’t have been a tutor for Cat if I didn’t study my math.

It put the other stories in perspective for me and I had a better understanding of how important they are to keep the human race safe and reality in balance.
 
Cassandra and Jordan are twins. Living isolated with their father, they live in peace away from the rest of society. On their father’s deathbed, they learn an incredible secret that he has hidden from them, and the reason why they have lived away from others. Cassandra is amazed, Jordan is repulsed…sending them both on different paths. Cassandra for good, Jordan for evil.
 
Cassandra has made it her mission to search the battle fields for survivors and try to bring them back to health.  Little does she know, a soldier, Niko, will change her life forever.  Because of a arguement between Jordan and Cassandra, Jordan leaves to try and find answers to the secret their father revealed.
 
This is an amazing story of how the Amadis began. The struggle between good and evil and the hope that those evil souls can be won over again for good will keep your hands white knuckled. If you haven’t read this series, I recommend starting with Genesis first. It really puts the other stories into perspective. I have fallen head over heals for this whole series.

Cat starts experiencing strange dreams that seem weird but real, and at random times, have unexplained experiences. She begins to wonder if she is losing it. Her parents and brother Tyler are very protective of her.

Ryan, a member of Isaac’s tormenting group, is drawn to Cat. He watches her from afar until he is assigned to tutor Cat for Math. He knows he shouldn’t have feelings for Cat, but can’t seem to control them.

Cat has an amazing group of friends that are always there to support each other…Matt, Amanda and Elle.

Girls are starting to disappear, which causes panic in the community, and curfews are enforced. Not only is the community gathering to protect, but also a secret group who is trying to figure out who is responsible.

The Childe is an insanely incredible story that will grab your attention for wanting more. I love the personalities of the characters, and at times found myself laughing aloud at the real life teenage experiences. The finale will definitely keep you in suspense!  The story has mystery that will definately keep you interested and in suspense.  I admire Cat for wanting to live a normal life by not being so sheltered by her family.  And the ending....grrrr....definately a cliff hanger that will make you BEG for Dark Days!

Owen, her faithful protector, feels so much guilt for coming back without Tristan. However, he is always there for Alexis when she needs him. With her family in danger of the Daemoni, Alexis decides to do something drastic. Could this save all that she loves?
 
Purpose takes this story to a completely new level of action, heartfelt emotions, and loyalties. OMG, it was so incredibly good, I find myself stuck for words to describe this intense story without giving away spoilers. I laughed, I cried, oh boy, did I cry. In addition, for me as a reader, when an author can make me cry like that, that in itself tells you what an awesome writer Kristie is. I was there in the battles. I felt the emotions. And the story alone is so attention grabbing; it’s difficult to put down. Even the evil characters of the Daemoni are so interesting to learn more about. Trust me when I say you MUST read this story. It is so addicting you just cannot get enough. Which is a good this because the next installment of this series, Devotion, is soon to come out!
