About Angela Corbett
As a child, Angela Corbett’s most prized possession was a set of read-along books. She used to follow along with the narrator on the stereo and dream of when she would be able to read by herself. Her childhood reading habit led her to consider her future career. However, after consulting with her parents, she realized she had already exceeded hobbit height and since fairies and dragonslayers were tricky jobs to get, she decided she wanted to create worlds of her own. She started writing poetry in elementary school and worked as a journalist in high school and college, but could never leave her love for writing fiction behind.
She is a graduate of Westminster College where she double majored in communication and sociology. She has worked as a journalist, freelance writer, and director of communications and marketing. She loves classic cars, traveling, and escaping in a good book. She lives in Utah with her incredibly supportive husband and their five-pound Pomeranian, Pippin, whose following of fangirls could rival Justin Bieber’s.
Eternal Starling is her debut novel and the first book in the Emblem of Eternity trilogy.

Losing Virginity Spotlight and Giveaway

Losing Virginity Spotlight

Victorian women had a complex system of sending courtship signals with their fans. If she was available, she would fan quicker, and if she was taken she would fan slower. If her fan rested on her left cheek, then she was not that into you. If it was on her right cheek then you were in. Whoever got rid of the fan thing? That sounded great to me! I've been borrowing my courtship rituals from Victorian England and sending the slightest, tiniest, most miniscule signals to guys that I was interested. I was assuming that boys could understand a complex system of unspoken language. It wasn’t me after all. It was them!
I needed to be more obvious about my signals, it was as simple as that.
In Finland, girls who were ready to marry would wear an empty sheath around their waists. When a guy wanted to date the girl, he would either make or buy a knife and put it in her sheath.
Tell me it doesn't get any more obvious than that. Maybe I should just walk up to the next boy I want wearing a sheath. Would he get it then? Somehow I doubted it.
If the woman wasn't interested in the man, she would give the knife back, but if she wanted to marry him she would keep it. Women in those cooler climates always carried knives around.
I resolved that I was going to drop the fan and go for the knife. It's time I made a sheath.

Olivia Spurgeon has been a good girl her entire life. Her friends have called her Spurgeon the Virgin since 9th grade. Why? Because everyone in her group of friends had already lost there virginity by then. Over the past four years it has been like a foreign object attached to her and even named it something simple.

Now, she's a freshman in college and still hasn't done the deed. All three of her roommates do not have Virginity attached to them and they aren't scared to show it off. Olivia is jealous. She wants what they are having, feeling. One day she finally decides that she doesn't want Virginity attached to her anymore and begins the journey of shedding it.

Paradise quickly gets gruesome in this thrilling page-turner with a plot that’s ripped from the headlines and a twist that defies the imagination.
It’s Spring Break of senior year. Anna, her boyfriend Tate, her best friend Elise, and a few other close friends are off to a debaucherous trip to Aruba that promises to be the time of their lives.
But when Elise is found brutally murdered, Anna finds herself trapped in a country not her own, fighting against vile and contemptuous accusations. As Anna sets out to find her friend’s killer, she discovers harsh revelations about her friendships, the slippery nature of truth, and the ache of young love.
Awaiting the judge’s decree, it becomes clear to Anna that everyone around her thinks she is not only guilty, but also dangerous. And when the whole story comes out, reality is more shocking than anyone ever imagined…
Pick up Dangerous Girls are these retailers:

I didn't know what I was getting into by reading this story. Dangerous Girls, yeah, everyone knows how vicious a girl can be. But who knew.

Anna and Elise are best friends. Partying, going out chasing boys, and just having a great time.  However, Anna has always had her eye on Tate, who eventually becomes her boyfriend and Elise couldn't be happier for her.

For Spring break, Anna and her group of friends go to Aruba to stay in a beach house.  They are living it up, staying on the beach by day, and partying all night.  Until one tragic event, finding Elise murdered brutally, the whole trip erupts in chaos.

Anna is charged for Elise murder, which is ridiculous because she was her best friend.  As she awaits trial, all her other friends are able to go back home, leaving Anna in Aruba alone.

Anna is interrogated relentlessly, and she learns that her friends don't support her.  She is in a dark place she may never get out of, but still has hope that Elise's killer will be found against all odds.

This book...WOW...will floor you...repeatedly...through out the whole story.  It guides you through the investigation, flashing back to how Anna and Elise's friendship blossomed, and how Anna found herself in the situation that she is in.  The investigators are vicious and the friends betrayal is horrific.  As the investigators dig into Anna's past to discredit her, the trial is harsh.  The outcome looks inevitable.  The ending will leave you flabbergasted in ways that will have you thinking about the story way beyond the time you finished. With the media involved, friends doing interviews that proves their disloyalty, and a boyfriend that isn't there to support Anna, she is truly alone.  The characters are strong however selfish in their rich spoiled lives.  They are the kind of characters that can easily be hated. The plot moves incredibly fast, and you will never figure out the ending by any clues left throughout. It's an epic mystery that is well worth the time.

Release date 9-12-13

Halo City is a short Novella from Michael's point of view for when the saga started with Crossroads.  A definite must read for the back ground of Michael's history

My Review

Eternity erupts with action as the saga comes to a tearful close with amazing characters, outstanding loyalty, extreme action, and artistic conclusion. Thank you Mary, for allowing me to travel this amazing journey through your creative writing skills.

Eternity is the fourth and last installment of the Crossroads Saga.  What an amazing journey it has been with characters you easily fall in love with.

So much happens in Eternity.  The past comes like a tornado to hit some characters straight in the chest.  However, as love knows no boundaries, so does the loyalty of friends and family to conquer the most dreaded fears.

Eternity has mountains of action and adventure, and even though I never wanted the story to end, you can't help the anticipation for the conclusion.  As a few new characters are introduced into this last installment, the favorites are all there in full form.  How can you not love Davin and his obsession with chips and salsa?  I can not eat chips and salsa now without thinking of him.

Without giving away a lot of spoilers, briefly here are some highlights:
1.  Michael challenges his worst fear.
2. Families grow.
3. Friends are in danger.
4. Claudia has struggles.
5.  Austin is distraught.
6. The fallen....

If you have been following this series from the beginning, you won't be disappointed with the ending.  If you haven't started the series yet, this is a good time to start, because all the books are available and you won't have to wait for the next installment.

All Out Yesterdays Review

Title: All our Yesterdays

Author: Cristin Terrill

Publish Date: Published September 3rd 2013 by Disney Hyperion

"You have to kill him." Imprisoned in the heart of a secret military base, Em has nothing except the voice of the boy in the cell next door and the list of instructions she finds taped inside the drain. Only Em can complete the final instruction. She’s tried everything to prevent the creation of a time machine that will tear the world apart. She holds the proof: a list she has never seen before, written in her own hand. Each failed attempt in the past has led her to the same terrible present—imprisoned and tortured by a sadistic man called the doctor while war rages outside. Marina has loved her best friend James since the day he moved next door when they were children. A gorgeous, introverted science prodigy from one of America’s most famous families, James finally seems to be seeing Marina in a new way, too. But on one disastrous night, James’s life crumbles apart, and with it, Marina’s hopes for their future. Now someone is trying to kill him. Marina will protect James, no matter what. Even if it means opening her eyes to a truth so terrible that she may not survive it. At least not as the girl she once was. All Our Yesterdays is a wrenching, brilliantly plotted story of fierce love, unthinkable sacrifice, and the infinite implications of our every choice.
Time Travel at its best.

All Our Yesterdays is a profound read of the sacrifices that need to be made, and the harsh realization of what needs to be done to save society. In the now, Marina loves her best friend James. She is always there for all the tragities he has had to face, with side kick Flinn also close. However, when James is pushed over the edge, he invents a time machine to better the world, when all it does is cause chaos. Em and Flinn are the only ones that can make things right.

This story just ROCKED!! I have not read many time traveling books, but this story sure has me hooked. It’s a creative story with amazing characters. Fast paced and tragic, this story is a MUST READ. You won’t be disappointed.

Zoe & Zak and the Ghost Leopard Blog Tour and Giveaway

The Tour is being Hosted HERE

About the Book:

Move over Percy Jackson.
Find out what everybody is talking about!
If you loved Harry Potter, if you couldn't get enough of Percy Jackson, if you're wondering what to read after The Mark of Athena -- from bestselling author Lars Guignard comes the kids' magic fantasy
adventure... GHOST LEOPARD.

Zoe and Zak are lost in exotic India, where gods and magic still exist. Before they can find their way home, they just have to do one little thing...

...Save a mythical creature from an ancient evil that
wants to rule the world.

When Zoe Guire goes along on her mom's business trip to India, things get very weird, very quickly. An elephant god speaks to her from the bottom of a swimming pool... She and her classmate Zak get locked in a trunk and shipped off to a strange city near the foothills of the Himalayas... and a crazy snake charmer tells them they've been chosen to protect a mythical creature called the Ghost Leopard from an ancient evil that wants to take over the world.
As they travel deeper into the majestic mountains known as the Realm of the Gods, things get even weirder. If she and Zak want to make it back to their parents, they're going to have to tap into powers they never knew existed.
Because if they don't, things will never be the same for any of us ever again.

My Review

Elephant gods, a map, villains, and secrets are just a scratch in the adventure Zoe and Zak find themselves discovering in India.

Zoe and Zak are young, but not short on courage and spunk.  This story is a wonderful middle grade adventure that will trap you in their world, and take you on an amazing journey.

Zoe and Zak are constantly getting themselves in difficult situations  However, they find help where they least expect it, and these guides help them along the way for the ultimate goal, protect the Ghost Leopard.  The story instantly starts with a heap full of action, and never slows down.  It's a colorful story, with humor thrown in, and the personalities of Zoe and Zak were captured beautifully.  The culture of India makes the imagination of this fantasy come alive.

Don't think this story is only for the young, think of it as a story for the young at heart.  It's an amazing story that the whole family can enjoy together.

I believe this is just the start of the amazing adventures Zoe and Zak will become involved in, especially with Zoe's newly found power and Zak's huge curiosity.
