Paradise quickly gets gruesome in this thrilling page-turner with a plot that’s ripped from the headlines and a twist that defies the imagination.
It’s Spring Break of senior year. Anna, her boyfriend Tate, her best friend Elise, and a few other close friends are off to a debaucherous trip to Aruba that promises to be the time of their lives.
But when Elise is found brutally murdered, Anna finds herself trapped in a country not her own, fighting against vile and contemptuous accusations. As Anna sets out to find her friend’s killer, she discovers harsh revelations about her friendships, the slippery nature of truth, and the ache of young love.
Awaiting the judge’s decree, it becomes clear to Anna that everyone around her thinks she is not only guilty, but also dangerous. And when the whole story comes out, reality is more shocking than anyone ever imagined…

MY REVIEW

I didn't know what I was getting into by reading this story. Dangerous Girls, yeah, everyone knows how vicious a girl can be. But who knew.

Anna and Elise are best friends. Partying, going out chasing boys, and just having a great time.  However, Anna has always had her eye on Tate, who eventually becomes her boyfriend and Elise couldn't be happier for her.

For Spring break, Anna and her group of friends go to Aruba to stay in a beach house.  They are living it up, staying on the beach by day, and partying all night.  Until one tragic event, finding Elise murdered brutally, the whole trip erupts in chaos.

Anna is charged for Elise murder, which is ridiculous because she was her best friend.  As she awaits trial, all her other friends are able to go back home, leaving Anna in Aruba alone.

Anna is interrogated relentlessly, and she learns that her friends don't support her.  She is in a dark place she may never get out of, but still has hope that Elise's killer will be found against all odds.

This book...WOW...will floor you...repeatedly...through out the whole story.  It guides you through the investigation, flashing back to how Anna and Elise's friendship blossomed, and how Anna found herself in the situation that she is in.  The investigators are vicious and the friends betrayal is horrific.  As the investigators dig into Anna's past to discredit her, the trial is harsh.  The outcome looks inevitable.  The ending will leave you flabbergasted in ways that will have you thinking about the story way beyond the time you finished. With the media involved, friends doing interviews that proves their disloyalty, and a boyfriend that isn't there to support Anna, she is truly alone.  The characters are strong however selfish in their rich spoiled lives.  They are the kind of characters that can easily be hated. The plot moves incredibly fast, and you will never figure out the ending by any clues left throughout. It's an epic mystery that is well worth the time.
