The world has changed.

Scientists warned it would happen.

Meteors devastated the Earth. World Governments developed plans to help surviving citizens. The United States disbanded and salvageable land was divided into four quadrants—North, South, East, and West—governed by The Remnant Council.

Struggling to survive, seventeen-year-old Ava ends up in juvenile detention, until she is selected for a new life—with a catch. She must be injected with an experimental serum. The results will be life changing. The serum will make her better. To receive the serum Ava agrees to join a program controlled by ISAN, the International Sensory Assassin Network.

While on a mission, she is abducted by a rebel group led by Rhett and told that not only does she have a history with him, but her entire past is a lie perpetuated by ISAN to ensure her compliance. Unsure of who to trust, Ava must decide if her strangely familiar and handsome captor is her enemy or her savior—and time is running out.

MY REVIEW

Dystopian novels are my favorite Genre, so you have NO IDEA how happy I am that Mary wrote one!

Ava has had a rough time in life. However with her special DNA, a secret government agency wants her.  She figures, why not, it will get her out of Juvie and possibly give her a better life...a life of an assassin.  She trains vigorously, and manages to lead her own team....a team that becomes her friends.

When a mission goes adrift, she is kidnapped...and begins to learn for the first time about her true self.  Memories she never knew she lost, gradually comes to the surface and she is trying to piece everything together.

ISAN is awash with extraordinary characters that blended beautifully together. The ingenious world seduces your imagination and makes the real world disappear, as you get consumed into the story. Bursting with action, brimming with twists that spiral out of control, ISAN will leave your imagination satisfied.

An exquisite read...fun....I NEED MORE.

A brutal murder.
A heinous secret
A deadly conspiracy.

The brutal murder of the little old lady next door puts FitzHugh Donovan on the case. A retired New York City Police Chief, he knows a cover-up when he sees one and his Irish Cop conscience can’t let that happen.

Now, Fitz, his family and his quirky band of Bleecker Street Irregulars are ensnared in the bizarre secret the woman died to protect.

Is this a 75-year-old cold case turned hot again, or an unspeakable crime-in-progress that could alter the course of the world?

Fitz doesn’t yet know how high the stakes are, that failure isn’t an option, and that the little old lady was so much more than she appeared. But he’s trying to keep everyone alive long enough to find out.

Characters you’ll care about, dark shocking secrets, and disturbing similarities to today’s political scene, will keep you turning pages to an ending you won’t see coming.

The Childe lives among the fae in the World Below, where being human makes him an oddity at the royal palace, and where his only friend is a wax golem named Whick.

My Review

An Excellent graphic novel full of fantasy and adventure that can be enjoyed by all!

This is about a Human Childe being raised by royalty...He is never allowed to leave court, and has no actual name.  When his Fae royal parents and court are attacked, he has no choice but to run away.  He only person he can think of to seek help from and go into hiding is his changeling, Edmund.

Then the real adventure begins!

This was such a fun graphic novel to read.  The illustration is beautiful, and brings life to a fun fantasy. Along with the fantastic adventure, there is an honest and real lesson about family and loyalty.  This story can be easily enjoyed in one sitting and a treasure for your graphic novel collection.

Publication Date: November 19, 2019

*AUTHOR OF ONE OF BUZZFEED'S GREATEST FANTASY BOOKS OF 2013*
From the author of the beloved Society of Sword and Wolf of the North trilogies, Duncan M. Hamilton's Knight of the Silver Circle --the sequel adventure-packed fantasy to Dragonslayer in The Dragonslayer trilogy--is perfect for fans of magical beasts and unexpected heroes

Three dragons wreak havoc throughout Mirabay--eating livestock, killing humans, and burning entire villages to ash. It was nearly impossible to kill one, using a legendary sword and the magic of the mysterious Cup; to tackle three, Guillot dal Villerauvais will need help.

The mage Solène fears having to kill again; she leaves Gill to gain greater control over her magic.

The Prince Bishop still wants Gill dead, but more than that, he wants the Cup, and he'll do whatever he has to to get it, even sending his own daughter--a talented thief and assassin--into the dragons' path.

As secrets mount on secrets and betrayals on betrayals, both Guillot and Solène face critical decisions that will settle not only their own fate but that of all Mirabaya.

My Review

FINALLY!!!  I have been waiting for this second installment, and man, it did not disappoint!  I mean, it has Dragons, and magic, and fighting, knights, loyalty and betrayal...it IS the full package for a fantasy!!

Gill doesn't want the spotlight or fame of being a Dragonslayer...Solene is trying to deal with her conscience about killing...and she decides she needs to go back to learn to control her magic.  In the meantime, Gill is asked to help a village that is being tormented by MORE dragons, and he feels obligated to help.

Whew, it's hard to write a review about a fantasy that you love because the reader needs to experience each and every detail and unexpected twist on their own...and boy, there are some twists and crazy betrayal going on. This story is so fast paced, words disappear right off the page.

You will learn more about the dragons...their history, and just how complex they really are.  I Loved this...it was extremely powerful for the story and gave it tremendous depth.

Oh Gill....he has learned to battle his demons. He is hardcore, yet humble. I feel for him deeply. Prince Bishop is the character you will despise with your whole being.

This is a fantastic world to dive in dragon spiral style..this mesmerizing world is a great escape from reality.
