Astrid, the main character in this story, has dealt with loss because of these Titans. Gambling debts have caused the family to lose everything..and not only material items. There is stress in the home, and Astrid may have to move again, leaving her best friend behind.
Until a day when she sneaks to the track, and helps an old man who is struggling with the heat of summer, she finds that her dreams of riding a Titan can come true.

The story is as beautiful as the cover. Astrid is desperate... desperate to keep from moving, to keep her best friend, and most importantly to keep her family together. Titans is full of hope. With characters that are easy to fall is love with, you will feel an intense connection from the moment you meet them. The races totally threw me...I was pleasantly surprised with the unique obstacles that happened throughout to make the races more intense. This story has so much to offer...friendships, loyalty, surprises..It's an amazing read..It was full of laughs, heart aches and tears. Everyone should have a BFF like Magnolia! A read that pull at all your emotions...but leave you with that satisfied feeling....Titans has all the ingredients for a fantastic read.
