Sarah Negovetich knows you don't know how to pronounce her name and she's okay with that.

Her first love is Young Adult novels, because at seventeen the world is your oyster. Only oysters are slimy and more than a little salty; it's accurate if not exactly motivational. We should come up with a better cliché.

Sarah divides her time between writing YA books that her husband won’t read and working with amazing authors as an agent at Corvisiero Literary Agency. Her life’s goal is to be only a mildly embarrassing mom when her kids hit their teens.

MY REVIEW

Rite of Rejection...a fantastic dystopian novel where society is controlled, where the desirable flourish, and those who are destined for ruin, are sent somewhere to fend for themselves.

This is one story that grabbed my attention from the first chapter....could NOT put it down.  It was fast paced, full of new friendships, and an incredible plot that will keep all readers captivated!

Rebecca has been primed from a young age to go far with her Acceptance.  Her mother has made sure she is polite, proper, and defined so she will capture the attention of a good suitor and move up the ranks in society.  No One saw her rejection coming.

Rebecca is innocent, however learns quickly that she won't survive alone.  She quickly makes friends by proving her worth, and they help protect each other against the thieves, murderers and rapists.  This environment is harsh, and all are near starvation, which increases the violence.

I am not one to reveal much about a plot of a story....spoilers...dislike them.  I think too much information ruins the whole excitement of a new world created.  So I won't do that here, however I will tell you how much I loved this story.  It was so stinking good, I had one of those book hangovers, especially after the cliffhanger....yeah, it's one of the biggest cliffhangers that I ever read.  Left me in total anticipation for the next installment.  Although that can be frustrating, well, the frustration comes from enjoying the book so much.

I instantly fell for all the characters...you know, the ones you love, the ones you love to hate, this story has it all. It was perfect how the characters all fit, and how their backgrounds and past unfolded before your eyes. Rebecca starts out with no experience, but learns fast and that keeps the story going.  Rite of Rejection is full of twists and turns, loyalty, betrayal (didn't see that coming), new love, and complete heartache.  All of this thrown together creates the perfect story.

You love secrets? Well, secrets are plentiful in this story and will leave you in awe.  So give this story a read, it deserves it.

Also, I would like to send  HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES to Sarah's MOM!!
