Eternal Starling Review

Title: Eternal Starling

Author: Angela Corbett

Publish Date: Published December 6th 2011 by Pendrell Publishing

Synopsis:
A love so strong, even eternity can't separate them. Evie Starling has lived a relatively uneventful life hanging out with friends, gossiping about boys, and driving her 1966 Mustang.
All of that changes when she moves to Gunnison, Colorado, to start college and meets two mysterious men. For centuries, Alex Night and Emil Stone have yearned for Evie but they each have their own reasons for wanting to be with her. When both men claim to be her soul mate and tell her about an unbelievable past, Evie learns that she s not the person she thought she was. Soon, Evie finds herself in the middle of an age-old battle between the Amaranthine Society the soul protectors, and the Daevos Resistance the soul destroyers. With a past she doesn t understand, and a future rife with danger, Evie has to decide who she can trust. But Alex and Emil aren’t the only ones who want Evie, and her soul is about to become the rope in an eternal tug-of-war.
How much do you like reading about love triangles? Can’t get enough? Had Enough? Well, Eternal Starling is SO much more than the average love triangle.  This love triangle extends over centuries. Only Evie begins each life over again, with Alex Night and Emil Stone having to wait for her in each life, and unwillingly keep their distances, both for different reasons.

However, in this life, neither Alex nor Emil can stay away any longer. Breaking the rules, they both start to pursue Evie.

First of all, I love the triangles. Especially when it involves the two amazing hot guys like Alex and Emil. The soul mate idea is every girl’s fantasy, and this story with the Amaranthine Society protecting the soul mates and the Daevos wanting to separate them puts that delicious twist that makes it so much more than the average love triangle. Throw in anything paranormal, and I’m there.

I loved Evie’s character. She is strong willed and bull headed which makes the story a lot of fun to read. She doesn’t put up with crap, tends to not take advise well, which causes her to get into a lot of trouble. She has a lot to learn about who she really is, and gets frustrated fast when Alex or Emil won’t give her that information. Alex and Emil, oh my…hot, steamy guys…I found myself very jealous of Evie. They have different personalities, with Alex being the uptight protector, and Emil being calm and going with the flow.

The whole story is fast paced, with a lot of action. It’s got spicey moments that will put those butterflies into your belly and warm you in a great way. There are some great comical moments where I found myself laughing out loud, AND, I found it compelling to learn about the soul mate history right along with Evie. I really recommend this series, it has all the ingredients for a fast and fun read.

My Over All Rating:
