Title: Obsidian
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Publish Date: Published May 8th 2012 by Entangled Teen

 Synopsis:
Starting over sucks. When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up. And then he opened his mouth. Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens. The hot alien living next door marks me. You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades. If I don't kill him first, that is.

I love love LOVE ALIENS!!

Katy and her mom are trying to start over and make a new life for themselves. New state, new town, new everything. Katy has decided not to be her shy self anymore when her mom incouraged her to go next door and meet the teenagers . Katy phsyched herself up, and went over there to meet the most arrogant, loathing teenage boy she has ever met, Daemon. HAWT! Even though Daemon tries to discourage her, Daemon’s sister Dee and Katy become fast friends.

After Katy is almost in a tragic accident, saved by Daemon, she discovers the truth about Dee and Daemon, and the evil that is out to destroy them. She finally understands the strange stares by everyone in town. Daemon is forced to babysit Katy until her light fades, so they aren’t discovered.

Obsidian has everthing I devour in a book. Great, exciting storyline, awesome characters, love, friendships, and complete WOW! The bickering and bantering between Katy and Daemon is quite hilarious, and begs for them to just get with it and admit their attraction to each other. Kitten, means something totally different to me now! Obsidian takes the idea of Aliens to an insanely incredible level of alien conspiracy…yeah, I’m going to be looking into the night sky for my Daemon!

  1. I've been avoiding this series because I've been put-off by the alien thing, but the more I read about Daemon, the more I really want to meet him. :) I might have to give this series a try!
