Soul Savers Blog Tour and GIVEAWAYS

I am SO excited to be a part of this Tour.  This is an INSANELY INCREDIBLE series.

CHARACTER: Jax

QUESTION: You try to separate yourself from the Amadis, but are you loyal to them?

Jax: I just prefer the Outback is all. At first, right after I was turned, I scared myself around my mates. Was afraid I’d accidentally eat them. But bein’ out in the bush, by myself - that was all right. I figure the world is safer this way. I’m just as loyal to the Amadis as anyone else, though. Especially to my princess. That Sheila is one heck of a woman.

Meet Kristie Cook

Title: Devotion
Author: Kristie Cook
Publish Date: Published January 31st 2012 by Ang'dora Productions, LLC Synopsis:
With powerful abilities gained from the Ang’dora and Tristan back by her side, Alexis thinks she’s ready for the next challenge— protecting her son from what appears to be the inevitable. But she has so much to learn about her powers, her new world and the people in it. Nothing is what it seems to be on the surface, including the Amadis. Power-hungry politicians comprise the council and make impossible demands. A traitor lurks among them all, inciting trouble that could destroy the Amadis and, ultimately, humanity. The Daemoni wreak havoc in the human world, with the ultimatum that they’ll continue attacking innocents until Alexis and Tristan are expelled from the Amadis’ protection. The couple’s own society begins to shut them out. But that’s not all. Someone’s keeping a secret. A big one. Faith and hope in Alexis and Tristan will be restored if she can uncover the truth in time. But the search for answers leads only to the discovery of more betrayals by those closest to Alexis. Her devotion is put to the test—devotion to her husband, to her family, to her people and to her beliefs—leaving her to question whom she’s fighting for and why she should even bother. But if she won’t fight . . . who will?
Devotion…Alexis’ devotion to her family and to the Amadis is fanominal.

Promise was like striking a match. Purpose was igniting the wick. Devotion is the explosion.

The Soul Saviors series just keeps getting better and better. Alexis is in training..trying to master her skills and powers to fight the evil that threatens the human race. However, as her abilities increase, she is aware that something is amiss. She learns things that make her doubt the council of the Amadis. She is also trying to find a way to protect Dorian who is destined to take the wrong path. Is there a reason there was only a boy born and not the traditional girl to rule the Amadis?

As Alexis and Tristan leave the Island to protect the Amadis people, they are attacked at every turn. They are scoring the states trying to find a place that is safe enough to raise Dorian. In their travels, they will meet allies that will help them when they least expect. They are searching for the Truth.  But will they find that truth and the Traitor within the council to protect the Amadis way?

Devotion is a white knuckled read that will keep you up all night because you WILL not be able to put it down. I have fallen head over heels for this series. The characters are strong, the writing breathtaking, I just can’t get enough!

Character Interview with Claudia of Crossroads and Tour Wrap Up

As the Crossroads Saga Tour comes to a close, I thought it would be a treat to interview Claudia!!

Thanks so much Claudia for giving my your time. I just have a few questions for you!!

 1. Was it difficult to hear the loss of your friend?

Yes it was. I never imagined I would lose a friend at such an early age. She had a whole life a head of her. It’s a tragedy the way she passed away. It feels like a dream. It doesn’t matter how long it has been since her death, the pain is still there.

 2. What were your first thoughts when you entered Crossroads?

I went to Crossroads through my dreams. When I crossed over, I saw the most beautiful place I had ever seen. A feel of tranquility ran through me and when I meet Michael, I knew I was really dreaming…lol!!! Little did I know it wasn’t a dream at that moment.

 3. Was it hard to grasp that Michael is part Angel?

At first it was. It was difficult to grasp angels and humans could create a child because it was forbidden. But when I found out there were many, I got used to the idea. Perhaps there are many living in human world. They may not know.

4. Describe your attraction to Michael?

When we first met, our eyes locked. I couldn’t peal my eyes off him. He was mysterious, arrogant with a wonderful heart. As I got to know him better, I found out he was just as beautiful in the inside as he was on the outside. What I love about Michael is that he loves me and would do anything for me. Just as I would for him….blush!

 5. What is your fondest memory of you and Michael?

The fondest memory would be when he took me to the waterfall. He opened up to me, pouring out his heart and soul. I love it when guys can talk to you like a friend. It was also the first time he took me flying…magnificent…took my breath away.

6. Do you feel safe with Michael and the other alkins protecting you?

No doubt about it. They have proven their powerful skills over and over. I wish I could fight like them…lol!!!

Crossroads Saga Book Tour by Mary Ting

Welcome to The Crossroads Saga Book Tour!!!

This saga holds very dear to my heart. I would like to introduce to you, Mary Ting!

Hello! It’s so nice to meet everyone from around the world. I would like to give many thanks to Michele for hosting Crossroads/Between blog tour and Trajce from Macedonia for creating such a beautiful banner.

I started writing Crossroads after my grandmother passed away about 3 years ago.  When these characters came to life in my mind, along with the character Gamma, inspired by my grandmother, it was a way for me to heal.  I decided to start from a dream I had in high school, chapter one.  Chapter two is also based on my dream as well.  I didn’t think I would have much to write about, but when I made Claudia to be more like me, it was easy.  Her first car, her first job, her first experience at camping and her grandmother having a stroke was all part of me.  Too bad Michael wasn’t real…lol!!!
Many people like Davin, which I’m really happy about because his character was inspired by my friend who passed away.  He was very likable and was a best friend to all his friends.  Patty is my friend from church.  She is exactly how I described her, social butterfly who knows everything about her friends and fashion.  I named Claudia after a student I once had many years ago.  I can still picture her face, just like an angel.  When I was much younger, I had a crush on a boy name Michael, but his character is based off my husband, protective, romantic, and silly at times.  No… he doesn’t have wings…lol!!!
Though I was busy with work, being a wife, a mother, and PTA president, I would always find time to write, even if that meant typing while I was cooking or brushing my teeth.  Crossroads was written for a fast, fun reading with likable characters.  Many have emailed me to let me know how Crossroads has helped them escaped from their everyday stress.  Also, how they’ve connected to this book because of chapter one, having a loved one passed away.
As for the sequel Between, I had so much fun writing it. Austin plays a bigger role. I introduce more nephilims-half angel and half human.  Also, the Twelve have more active roles. From what fans have told me, it’s bigger and better, what a sequel should be.
I took on a journey not knowing how rewarding it would be for me. I’ve meet so many wonderful people from all over the world through facebook, goodreads and blog sites.  I’ve made everlasting friendship where friendship knows no boundaries.  And I have to thank my grandmother who continues to watch over me from Heaven.
Thank you for reading my post and I hope to see you on the rest of this journey while I hop from blog to blog.

Hugs!!!

Mary Ting

It happens at the start of every November: the Scorpio Races. Riders attempt to keep hold of their water horses long enough to make it to the finish line. Some riders live. Others die. At age nineteen, Sean Kendrick is the returning champion. He is a young man of few words, and if he has any fears, he keeps them buried deep, where no one else can see them. Puck Connolly is different. She never meant to ride in the Scorpio Races. But fate hasn’t given her much of a chance. So she enters the competition — the first girl ever to do so. She is in no way prepared for what is going to happen.

Rise of the Fallen Review *ADULT*

Title: Rise of the Fallen
 Author: Donya Lynne
Publish Date: Phoenix Press; 1 edition (March 23, 2012)

Synopsis:
In the streets of Chicago exists an uneasy, centuries-old truce between vampires and their distant cousins, a race of shifters called drecks. Vampire enforcement agency, All the King’s Men (AKM), is charged with maintaining the truce, but when volatile enforcer Micah Black loses his mate and falls into the biological agony that results from the broken bond, he tests the boundaries of the truce by seeking out Apostle, a leader in the dreck community. Micah wants Apostle to kill him, a request Apostle is more than happy to fulfill. When ex-Army medic Samantha Garrett inadvertently disrupts the plot and saves Micah’s life, a chain reaction sets Micah’s heart on a collision course with Sam’s, but he will have to protect her from Apostle and her obsessive ex-husband, Steve, if they will have a chance at forever. Can Micah hold his emotions together to keep Sam alive?
Micah, an AKM soldier who does what he wants and never follows the rules, sets himself on a self destructive course after losing his mate, and the second mate at that. He cares about nothing, especially his own life, when he decides to make a deal with Apostle, that he would have the honor of killing him.

Sam, stumbles across the fight and beating, and by a stroke of luck, manages to save Micah’s life even though he was upset with her for doing so. Sam takes him back to her place, not knowing what else to do with him, and he starts to heal before her very eyes.

Micah realizes that he has no choice but to protect Sam because Apostle will be after her for giving him the satisfaction of killing Micah. Because of several drastic events, Micah has no choice but to tell Sam of his world.

Who doesn’t love a hot and steamy story? I myself, am not so interested in a mushy romance novel but you add brute vampires into the mix, who fall hard for their mates, I am SO there.

The beginning of Micah’s story is so heart wrenching. He is a bad-a$$ vampire who loves and falls hard over his mates. As the story progresses, you learn more about All the King’s Men and their mission. I can see so many stories unfolding for each character in this story. They are all unique with different personalities and I cannot wait to read about their stories as this new world unfolds. It’s definitely action packed. In addition, I love the fact that Sam is not a pansy helpless girl. She can definitely hold her own and you learn more about her individual story also. Don’t worry, there is no mushy romance in this story…it’s toe-curling hotness that will keep you wanting more of All the King’s Men for sure!

Bio of Donya Lynne:
As a little girl, Donya always had a book in her hand. As she got older, the books became pens and notebooks, which she filled with stories and poetry. For as long as she remembers, she has been writing and dreaming up stories. Seems writing was her destiny.
Donya loves music and often finds inspiration for her stories in the wide range of music she listens to. But occasionally it's a movie, a book, or just a drive around town that inspires her work.
She has several projects planned and in progress, including eight more novels in the All the King's Men series and several short stories and novellas. She would love to share her journey with you.

Hana Review

Title: Hana
Author: Lauren Oliver
Publish Date: Published February 28th 2012 by HarperCollins Publishers

 Synopsis:
In the world of Delirium, love is a disease. And like all eighteen-year-olds, Lena and Hana must take the cure. At the start of their last summer of freedom, they were the closest of friends. Until Hana made a decision that tore them apart... In Delirium, we heard from Lena. Now, Hana gets to tell her side of the story. And nothing is what we first thought. Hana is a powerful, moving and beautifully told original eBook short story, with a shocking twist that will leave you with your heart in your mouth.

I am a complete Lauren Oliver fan. I had the pleasure of meeting her on my birthday last year for a Delirium signing. And wow, it was the best birthday EVER!!

Hana is visiting the underground parties and following a boy that she has started to like. Hana is upset about Lena and her friendship being so distant. She wants to reach out to her but does not know how. She thinks that Lena is against what she is doing, but does not know that Lena has her own secret with Alex.

Hana is Delirium written in Hana’s point of view. You get the impression that Hana is a fun and energetic girl living life to the fullest until her cure. But wow, you find out in this short story that there is so much more to Hana than you ever expected. She is unsure about herself, not as confident as she leads on. She doubts the cure, misses her friendship with Lena, and puts herself in danger more than once. I think this whole Delirium story is so incredible, and loved Hana’s point of view. The ending, completely catches you by surprise and ends with an intense explosion. My heart literally ached.
