Wonder- Collection of short stories by Kristie Cook
This second part of the Wonder collection of short
stories brings three New Adult Paranormal tales to read by the fire with the
Christmas tree lights twinkling.
Presence
What do you get the woman who needs nothing while
staying within her “rules”? Tristan strives to find the perfect present for
Alexis, although all she wants is him. Will he unearth just the right gift in
time, or is his presence really enough? In response to fans’ high demand, this
story comes from the man himself, winner of several book-boyfriend and best-hero
contests. Told from Tristan’s point-of-view, Presence contains plenty
of steam to keep you warm through the chilly holiday season.
Miracle: A Vampire’s First
Christmas
Once among the elite of the evil Daemoni, a vampire
converted to the good side experiences her first Christmas. She struggles to
understand the traditions and expectations of the season and believes she’ll
never get it. At least, until she meets someone who needs her help—and will
never be able to repay her. Can this newly changed vampire find the true miracle
of Christmas in her heart and soul? Or will she stay in the comfort zone of her
wicked ways?
Joy
Daemoni warlock Claire always does what everyone else
wants her to do, and she can’t help but wonder if this makes her bad at being
bad. Wanting to do something for herself for once, she bails on the Random Acts
of Evil festivities for anti-Christmas and disappears. When sparks fly between
her and a were-bear she runs into, she sees her chance to defy the most
controlling people in her life: her family. But…will she have the courage to do
it or will she bow down to them once again?

Wonder: A Soul Savers Collection of Holiday Short
Stories Part 1 – Thanksgiving
Amity
Baby vampire Mindy yearns for a traditional
Thanksgiving feast, but her efforts result in disaster after disaster. Can she
come to terms with what she is and learn new ways to celebrate? Or will her
determination to hang onto the old traditions end up killing her own
family?
Belonging
At sixteen years old, Rissa was kicked out of
her house by her stepfather, bitten by a werewolf and infected so she’d become
one herself. She hasn’t had a single thing to be grateful for in the six years
since. When a handsome-as-the-devil college guy frees her from a trap, she knows
she should leave him immediately, but she can’t bring herself to. Is he truly as
nice as he seems and can he really give her a sense of belonging? Or is she
setting herself up for the worst shock since her first full moon as a
wolf?
Gratitude
Fresh off the battlefield, Alexis, Tristan,
and the Soul Savers crew struggle to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner, especially
when a Daemoni attack ruins everything. When it’s all over, can they find a
single blessing to count or is that too much to ask in this time of
war?
Meet new characters and revisit your

Something Great by M. Clarke
She didn’t know what she was missing…until he found her.
Maxwell Knight was positively trouble, dangerously good-looking, and seductively charming. He was everything Jeanella didn’t need in her life. Only Maxwell didn’t see it that way. His pursuit was relentless, making her even more determined to push him away.
Fresh out of college, life was simple and plain for Jeanella Mefferd. Every part of her life was smooth sailing; her friends, her job, and even the guy she’d started dating. Then one night, while at dinner, she spotted someone who made her feel things she’d never felt before—dangerous, heart pounding and breathless heat. Thinking she would never see him again, she brushed it off, but when she started to run into him unexpectedly, all she could think of was how he made her feel with his sweet flirtations. Everything about Maxwell Knight screamed trouble, especially when she found out he was her new boss’s son. Now, heading to a New York fashion show, would she be able to focus on her career instead of Maxwell, who had been scheduled to attend with her? As much as she tried to forget their encounters, his good looks, smooth words and determination to win her over gravitated her toward him. The next thing she knew, her mind was utterly consumed by him. Would she be willing to ignore all the dangerous signs and jump into his arms? Or would she miss out on the chance of finding something great?

Volition by Lee Strauss Review
Title: Volition
Author: Lee Strauss
Publish Date: Published April 16th 2013 by ESB Publishing
Synopsis:
Volition takes the Dystopia genre to a completely new level of government control with GOPs, Cyborg, and the desire to live free.
Zoe and Noah’s adventure intensifies in this new installment. Zoe had her memories of Noah wiped away by her powerful grandfather in Perception, but has retrieved them after Noah kidnapped her and the pills started to wear off. However, she does not remember her feelings that she had for Noah. As the story progresses, those feelings start to emerge again. They are on the run, hiding from Zoe’s Grandfather who is running for Presidency. Zoe and Noah know too much of the truth for her grandfather to just let them go. However, wherever they go, Senator Vanderveen is not far behind. Zoe hides her GOP status to blend in with the outside world.
OMDystopia!! I LOVE THIS SERIES. It is so difficult to not reveal any spoilers; however, if you love the Dysptopia, I feel that you really will dive into this one. The characters are amazing. Zoe and Noah come from different sides of the fence, literally. The plot, amazing. The action, suspenseful. It has everything that a good read needs. And let’s not forget the forbidden romance. I highly recommend this fast paced series that is incredible difficult to put down.

Spell Fire by Ariella Moon Book Blast
Spell Fire, The Teen Wytche Saga #3 By Ariella Moon
Summary
New school. New friends. New reputation. High school sophomore Ainslie Avalon-Bennett works hard to hide her Crazy Girl past. But as long as her best friend’s disappearance remains unsolved, she can’t shake the depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder that once landed her in a mental ward.
Ainslie’s tenuous control over her life shatters when her warring parents ditch her at Christmas. While they take a cruise to “work things out,” Ainslie must spend the holiday in Palm Springs with her aunt and uncle, owners of a struggling Mystery School and occult store. Plunged into the world of fire fortunes, dragons, entity eaters, and an ailing spell book, Ainslie is well beyond her comfort zone. Then she meets a boy who spikes her pulse and calms her OCD. But will she lose him once he discovers her past? Or will his deadly secret, hidden in plain view, be their undoing?
Author Ariella Moon
Ariella Moon writes about magic, friendship, secrets, and love in her Young Adult novels, Spell Check, Spell Struck, and Spell Fire, Books 1, 2, & 3 in The Teen Wytche Saga. Ariella spent her childhood searching for a magical wardrobe that would transport her to Narnia. Extreme math anxiety, and taller students who mistook her for a leaning post, marred Ariella’s teen years. Despite these horrors, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of California at Davis. An author and shaman, she now lives a nearly normal life with her extraordinary daughter, shamelessly spoiled dog, and an enormous dragon.
My body elongated, and I swore I grew six inches. Inside the cafe, there was no line. Another miracle. I paused beneath the fern‑painted ceiling fan and scanned the wall menu. I wasn't sure what I was looking for, but a weird craving fueled my search. The dragon exerted pressure between my shoulder blades, prompting me. "A Scorpion's Nest smoothie." Morningstar leaned over the high counter and gave me a once‐over. "You feeling okay?" I licked my lips. "Absolutely." I had never tasted an orange juice, vanilla ice cream, and peanut butter combo, but I slapped the countertop and said, "I'm fine. Hit me." Morningstar tilted her head to one side and studied me. Oh — crap. Maybe I'm dragon drunk. I wiped the drool from the corner of my mouth stood straighter. I could do this. I could act normal and in control. Behind me, the dragon blew on my hair. I clawed back the stray locks. "Strong ceiling fan." Morningstar glanced up. I held my gaze steady on her face and tried to remember if the fan was actually on. I couldn't hear the whir of its motor or feel the stir of cool air. I can't feel anything. I went for distraction and slipped a ten across the counter. Morningstar leveled her gaze, then handed me my change. "I'll bring the smoothie to your table." "Cool." My eyes crossed. I pivoted and fell out of my right flip‐‑flop. Fortunately, the place was almost empty, and I didn't think anyone saw me stumble. Still, my face heated as I chose a table with plenty of space behind it for the dragon and my invisible wings. "Mind if I join you for a minute?" Morningstar asked when she brought my drink. "Please." I giggled, giddy with dragon energy. I was a bright, beneficent angel among earthlings. I was — as crazy as my parents feared.
