Hana Review

Title: Hana
Author: Lauren Oliver
Publish Date: Published February 28th 2012 by HarperCollins Publishers

 Synopsis:
In the world of Delirium, love is a disease. And like all eighteen-year-olds, Lena and Hana must take the cure. At the start of their last summer of freedom, they were the closest of friends. Until Hana made a decision that tore them apart... In Delirium, we heard from Lena. Now, Hana gets to tell her side of the story. And nothing is what we first thought. Hana is a powerful, moving and beautifully told original eBook short story, with a shocking twist that will leave you with your heart in your mouth.

I am a complete Lauren Oliver fan. I had the pleasure of meeting her on my birthday last year for a Delirium signing. And wow, it was the best birthday EVER!!

Hana is visiting the underground parties and following a boy that she has started to like. Hana is upset about Lena and her friendship being so distant. She wants to reach out to her but does not know how. She thinks that Lena is against what she is doing, but does not know that Lena has her own secret with Alex.

Hana is Delirium written in Hana’s point of view. You get the impression that Hana is a fun and energetic girl living life to the fullest until her cure. But wow, you find out in this short story that there is so much more to Hana than you ever expected. She is unsure about herself, not as confident as she leads on. She doubts the cure, misses her friendship with Lena, and puts herself in danger more than once. I think this whole Delirium story is so incredible, and loved Hana’s point of view. The ending, completely catches you by surprise and ends with an intense explosion. My heart literally ached.
