Annabelle's Story- Sprite Review and Blog Tour

Synopsis:
Annabelle Walsh thought she had it all. She was the star of her swim team, had a loving family, a great boyfriend, and to top it off, she’d be starting at UCLA in the fall. One day, she’d be referred to as Dr. Annabelle Walsh. She was living every girl’s dream – until her life was turned upside down. All starting with finding out that she's not just a human, but also a water spirit. Half-human, half-sprite to be exact. Although not just any sprite, Annabelle is prophesied to be the only one who can save both the sprites and mankind. With a mix of current events, anecdotes from Greek mythology, tidbits of folklore, and Leigh’s own imagination, we join Annabelle in her journey to restore order beneath the sea. Each step of the way her mind, body, and soul are pushed to the limit begging the question, how much can one half-human, half-sprite take?
Who knew there was a whole other world that exists in the sea?

Annabelle was celebrating with her team on a big win for the swim team. Her parents and boyfriend are extremely excited for Annabelle and all she has accomplished. Funny how a perfect life can change so quickly.

Annabelle is kidnapped. Or is she? She was taken to the ocean and dragged out in the currents in a net where she has little movement. Starting to panic and thinking that she is going to drown, Annabelle discovers that she can breathe under water. She demands answers from her captive, but gets no where.

Annabelle soon discovers a whole new world below the sea. She is told that she is not completely human, but half human, half water sprite. The Mer people that have taken her in, believe that she is the one spoken of in a prophecy, the one that can save their world, as well as the human world. Annabelle has a hard time grasping this concept.

The prophecy takes Annabelle and a small group on a dangerous adventure. As they travel to find the clues, chaos is always waiting.

Annabelle’s story Sprite is an incredible under the sea novel that will take you away with the amazing visual description. I found myself holding my breath as I was reading. As much as Annabelle misses her family, she feels compelled to do the right thing by helping this almost extinct community. Titan and Greek gods and legends are intermixed with the Mer’s history. And who doesn’t love a little mischief from the Gods?!? It was an exciting adventure with creative plots, twists, and unexpected revelations. I look forward to how Annabelle’s adventure will continue in the sequel Kin.
